I earned my Bachelor’s degree in International Trade with Honors in Turkey, where I studied from 2014 to 2020. During my time there, I volunteered for six years with IHH, a humanitarian relief organization, supporting students from various countries—including Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Algeria, Albania, Bangladesh, and Indonesia—who were in need of humanitarian assistance for their school and place to stay.

After completing my studies in Turkey, I came to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree. I initially enrolled at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), where, together with two other partners, we founded the first-ever Rohingya Student Association in the United States. I currently serve as the Vice President of the Rohingya Student Association (RSA), where I continue to support Rohingya students by advocating for their educational and personal needs.

Hobbies/Interesting Facts: I enjoy traveling and exploring new places around the world. I have a deep appreciation for communities with distinct cultural roots, especially by experiencing traditional and local cuisines. I’m particularly fond of spicy foods. In my free time, I also enjoy playing tennis as a way to stay active and unwind.

Languages Spoken: Burmese, Rohingya, Turkish and English
