Community Impact Coordinator

Compensation range: $40,000-$43,000

Location: In-person

Employment type: Full time

 

Position Overview The International Institute of Wisconsin is seeking a Community Impact Coordinator who will help people connect with our mission through volunteer involvement, internship support, community outreach, and donor engagement activities. This position strengthens relationships across the community and supports a welcoming, mission centered experience for volunteers, interns, partners, and donors. The Community Impact Coordinator reports to the Development Manager and works closely with staff across programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Volunteer and Intern Coordination

• Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteers and interns

• Schedule and support volunteers and interns across programs

• Communicate expectations clearly and provide guidance

• Maintain accurate records, hours, and documentation

• Coordinate appreciation and recognition efforts

Community Outreach

• Build relationships with schools, faith communities, civic groups, and partners

• Represent the International Institute of Wisconsin at community events

• Prepare outreach materials and assist with presentations

• Track outreach activities and follow up communication

• Increase community awareness of IIW programs and mission

Development and Stewardship Support

• Assist with donor thank you messages and appreciation gifts

• Support donor and community engagement events

• Maintain volunteer and outreach data for development reporting

• Prepare summaries and updates for the Development Manager

• Help strengthen the connection between engagement and fundraising efforts

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, program support, or nonprofit work

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Comfort with public speaking and representing the organization

• Experience with CRM systems or databases is helpful

• Valid driver license preferred for local outreach and events
