I’ve been a receptionist for nine months, welcoming and assisting clients who come through our doors. I also support the ESL Department by managing the administrative side of the classes. I was born in a small city called Neiva, in the department (state) of Huila, Colombia. I immigrated to the U.S. nine years ago and am currently waiting for my green card application to be approved. My biggest dream is to return to Colombia and see my family again. I’m about to start my first year at Marquette University, where I’m focusing on law and international affairs. I continue working toward my goals by volunteering at the Marquette legal clinics, all with the purpose of helping people navigate the American immigration process.

Hobbies/Interesting Facts: I have been learning French for 4 years and Mandarin for 1 because I love learning new cultures, and learning history through language. I hope to travel to as many places as possible, and grow stronger as a translator and interpreter. I also like to Ice Skate at the Petit Center, and play badminton whenever possible.
