International Institute of Wisconsin Announces Resettlement of More Than 100 Afghan Refugees

Share with your audience how The International Institute of Wisconsin (IIW), an organization dedicated to the promotion of international cooperation, understanding, and a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural perspective, will be resettling more than 100 Afghan refugees that have been at Fort McCoy during the week of November 15, 2021. The IIW anticipates over 200 refugees will be resettled by the organization in the coming weeks.

Alexander Durtka, Jr. IIW President and CEO, said the organization is working to secure housing for these individuals, along with household goods, furniture, clothing, etc. IIW staff will also be working with the Afghan refugees and area employers to secure employment for those being resettled.
