Halim is originally from Afghanistan and is a native speaker of Pashto and Dari. He joined the International Institute of Wisconsin (IIW) in 2023 and currently serves as the Program Support Manager.
In this role, he supports the planning and coordination of programs that promote belonging, stability, and opportunity for individuals and families who are establishing their lives in the United States. He is committed to strengthening community engagement, encouraging cross-cultural connection, and ensuring responsive, people-centered services.
Hobbies/Interesting Facts: In his free time, Halim enjoys playing both soccer and cricket, his favorite sports, which provide a great way to stay active and connect with others. He also has a strong interest in history and spends time reading historical books to deepen his understanding of past events and global cultures.
Languages Spoken: My native languages are Pashto and Dari, and I am fluent in both. In addition, I am proficient in Urdu and English.
